Ethyl acetate

1. Description:

• Ethyl acetate is a colorless liquid with a sweet, fruity odor. It is a solvent for esters, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, camphor, chlorinated rubber, and various resins. It is also a solvent for nitrocellulose. Ethyl acetate is miscible with ether and alcohol but has limited solubility in water.
