Solvent A200
Product information:
Physical and Chemical Properties of Solvent A200
Solvent A200 is flammable in both liquid and gas forms, with relatively high vapor pressure, requiring use in well-ventilated areas and away from ignition sources (such as fire, electricity, and unprotected electrical switches).
The flash point of R100 is approximately 41°C.
TOPSol A200 is a mixture of C9-11 hydrocarbons with 98% aromatic content, providing excellent solubility. It has a very low sulfur content. This high-boiling solvent evaporates slowly and has a high flash point.

Applications of Solvent Topsol A200
Solvent A200 is widely used as a solvent and diluent in industries such as paint, adhesives, printing ink, agriculture, ceramics, detergents, pesticides, plastics, and household cleaning.
In both manufacturing and daily life, Solvent A200 finds extensive applications in various fields. The three most common applications are listed below:
1. Paint Production
- Enhances paint fragrance and slows drying, preserving color, preventing moisture, and improving weather resistance.
- With a moderate evaporation rate and high solubility in water and other solvents, Solvent A200 is a key component.
- Also used to dilute other solvents in paints such as lacquer, varnish, and ceramic glazes.
- Its high solid content makes it suitable for thick coatings with minimal layers.
- Solvent 100 and 150 are often used in automotive coatings and other industries requiring a high-gloss, durable final coat.
2. Pesticides
- Used in the production of insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and other agrochemicals.
- With excellent solubility and moderate evaporation rate, Solvent A200 is an optimal choice for pesticide formulations.
3. Cleaning Solvent
- While not as strong as some other chemical cleaners, Solvent A200 is used in the formulation of detergents, dishwashing liquids, floor cleaners, and toilet cleaners.
- Its characteristic fragrance enhances the freshness and appeal of cleaning products.
